born in Regensburg, Germany on Feb. 28th, 1960
classical education on piano and double bass;
living in Austria since 1976
Studies of Jazz bass and composition at the Conservatory of Vienna. Graduated with distinction in 1986.

Composition Award of Lower Austria (1991).

Teaching:

Instructor at several Jazz workshops (Art Institute Vienna, Jazzseminar Scheibbs, Big Band Seminar Weinberg, Int. Jazz Workshop Bratislava).
Co-founder and musical director of the Lower Austrian Jazz Academy (since 1989).

Currently teaching electric and acoustic bass at the University of Music, Vienna (since 1993), also conducting the University Big Band.
